What is a Costa E-Gift and how do I use it?
A Costa eGift is an electronic gift card, delivered by email. In many ways it works just like an ordinary gift card, with a balance that you or a friend can redeem in participating stores. Using the eGift is as simple as scanning the email at the counter, either straight from your phone or by printing it out and taking a paper copy to the store.
Can I purchase multiple Costa eGifts in one order?
No, you can only purchase 1 eGift per order.
Why can’t I see my QR code?
If for some reason your QR isn’t displayed in your email, don’t panic! You can still redeem your eGift by telling the barista your gift card number. This is the long number beginning ‘6338…’.
What is the minimum and maximum amounts that I can load on a Costa eGift?
The minimum that can be loaded on an eGift is £10 and the maximum is £75.
Are there any products in store that cannot be purchased with a Costa eGift?
No. You can purchase any items in our participating Costa stores with your Costa eGift, including coffee, food and merchandise.
Can I use my Costa eGift more than once?
Yes, when you use your Costa eGift the amount of your purchase will be deducted from the balance. The remaining balance may be applied to future purchases. Change will not be given.
Do I have to spend the whole value of the Costa eGift?
No, balance will remain on your eGift as long as you use it at least once over a 12 month period. Balance on the Costa eGift will expire if it is not used for 12 consecutive months.
Can I pay with a combination of eGift, Coffee Club points, cash and bank cards?
Yes, the Costa eGift Card is treated as a payment method.
Can I reload my Costa eGift at the till?
No, you cannot top up the balance on your Costa eGift.
What do I do if my Costa eGift becomes lost or stolen?
Contact our Costa Customer Services team immediately on 03330 035883 and quote your name and order number (if available).
What happens to the money on lost or stolen Costa eGifts?
At the time of reporting it lost we will replace your Costa eGift and transfer the balance onto a replacement Costa eGift.
Can I get a refund if the Costa eGift is no longer wanted?
No. Refunds will not be given for the purchase of a Costa eGift. You are also unable to exchange your Costa eGift for cash.
Are there any restrictions on the outlets in which I can use my Costa eGift?
Yes, there are restrictions. You may use your Costa eGift at participating Costa outlets in England, Scotland and Wales. You are not able to use the Costa eGift at Costa Express locations and in Northern Ireland.
Can I use my Costa eGift overseas?
No. You are not able to use the Costa eGift in overseas stores or Northern Ireland. You can only use your eGift in participating stores in England, Scotland and Wales.
Can I purchase a Costa eGift using American Express or a foreign payment card?
Unfortunately we can only accept orders paid for with UK credit or debit card. The website will not accept or process orders placed using American Express or from outside the UK and using non UK credit or debit cards.
Does the Costa eGift have an expiry date?
The Costa eGift and the balance will expire if it is not used for 12 consecutive months. We reserve the right to cancel your Costa eGift if we suspect it is being used fraudulently or in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
Can I collect Costa Coffee Club Card points when I pay using my Costa eGift?
Yes you can collect points on purchases made with your Costa eGift, however you cannot collect points at the point of purchasing a Costa eGift.
